Soybean fibres top (vegan silk)
Soybean fibres top (vegan silk)
Silk for vegans! Although Soybean is from a plant it is not cellulose, the fibre is actually 100% protein. It is best dyed using Acid dyes. It is very soft with a delicate shine and has a natural colour similar to tussah silk, but with a slightly apricot hue (it is important to remember that this will affect final dye colours). Spin into a sumptuous yarn or use in textile art projects, needle felting or silk papermaking.
It has a cashmere feel because the fibres are very light and flexible. It drapes like silk with a luxurious feel and has a breathable and absorbent ability.

Beautiful soft fibres that are going to make some lovely wigs for my dolls, I would have liked a longer staple but that's not an issue with the seller who was very quick and efficient, it's just a fact of the fibre.
I see that the seller also has bamboo fibres that I am going to try next to see what the differences are.
So soft, packaged well, l shall enjoy spinning this, thank you.
It feels lovely and soft. Thought I would get a few out off the ordinary fibres to experiment with.
So soft and absolutely gorgeous! My friend is so excited to spin this
