Do you have a sheep's fleece or alpaca blanket from one of your favourite animals ? enjoy knitting, crochet or weaving, but want to use your own wool.
We can take this fibre and turn it into beautiful, traditionally hand spun yarn that you can use or sell on.
All work is carried out by hand, no bleaches or chemicals are used. (Unless we are dying the wool for you too).

Prices start from £65 per 500g (weight of raw sheep fleece) that's cheaper per 100g than most of the commercial yarns you find in the local craft shop , and you are getting bespoke handspun yarn.

We dont just do set amounts like the large mills either. If you only need 300g to make that perfect scarf you've been dreaming of or you need 1.2kg for that cosy jumper we can do that to, just contact us for a qoute.

Deposit Now, Pay Later – Booking Information

We’re incredibly grateful for the growing interest in our spinning services. As our waiting list continues to grow, we’ve introduced a Deposit Now, Pay Later option to help you secure your booking slot and spread out the cost.

Please read the following information carefully before choosing this option:

How It Works

A non-refundable deposit is taken to secure your booking slot.

You must contact us via email prior to ordering, with details of the type of yarn you want DK, Aran,Chunky etc and the amount you plan to send. This allows us to create your invoice and ensure the correct time-framed booking slot is held for you. (The booking date will be shown on your invoice- sent via email).

Multiple split payments can be made on the invoice

The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 28 days before your booking date. If the balance is not received by this deadline, the booking will be cancelled and the deposit forfeited.

A £3 administration fee applies to this payment option

The address for sending your wool will be provided only after full payment has been made.

Booking dates are generally accurate, but may be subject to a slight delay of up to one week.

Terms & Conditions

By selecting the Deposit Now, Pay Later option, the customer confirms and agrees that:

The deposit is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances.

This condition forms part of the purchase terms and is accepted at the point of payment.

No chargebacks, disputes, or legal claims may be initiated regarding the non-refundable nature of the deposit.

These terms help ensure fairness for all customers and allow us to allocate booking slots accurately and reliably.

FAQ's

How much yarn will I recieve?

You send your raw sheeps wool , we then wash and dry the wool. During the washing process we remove lanolin (the grease on the fleece) , dirt and debris. The amount varies from fleece to fleece and is not an exact measurable amount . We can assure you that we will use every piece of wool we can to make the yarn (we hate waste). If you send 1kg of sheeps wool and the fleece is very dirty and greasy you may only recieve 750g of yarn, but will use all of the wool we can. The weight is lost in the removal of lanolin, dirt and debris its always best to send a little extra than you need.

For metre/yardage we again can not estimate this for a variety of reasons. The thickness of the wool, the thickness of the yarn, each skein can be slighty different due to the nature of hand spinning. We can of course (by request) count the yardage for you once the first skein of yarn has been made, so you can start planning for that perfect project while we spin the rest.

Prices.

We've tried to make the new prices as easy to understand and as transparent as possible. So they now include the picking through of the fleece and sorting of the fleece, preparation, the washing , drying and carding/combing. The price also includes the spinning, plying, washing, drying , setting and the return postage. So all you need to do now is weigh the fleece and send it in, we do the rest.

There is NOW the added option to have your skeins of yarn turned into balls for easy knitting. (Technically called centre pull cakes).

You are responsible for the cost of sending the fleece to us this gives you the option of using whichever courier you prefer and your choice of collection dates etc. We can of course arrange postage from you to us at an additional cost however most companies now require you to print the labels.

How long does it take ?

1kg of fleece can take around 6-8 weeks to complete depending on the service wanted.

Our waiting list is now into November 2026.
